2024 Ladies' Retreat

Dear friend, you’ve probably heard the saying, “A woman’s work is never done.” As Christian women, we often feel the tug between our seemingly endless daily tasks and fellowship alone with the Lord and His Word. The Savior invites you as He invited His friends Mary & Martha to choose the better part-intimate communion with Him. Join us as we consider what Jesus called “the one thing [that] is needful.”

Our 2024 Main Speakers: Grace Albright and Faith White
Native and resident of Illinois 30 years; married 48 years; pastor’s wife 45 years; mother of 5; grandmother of 20. What do all those numbers mean? Only this: that Grace Albright has had ample opportunities to learn and continue to learn many biblical truths, often the hard way. Currently, her husband works as a hospice chaplain; she teaches ladies’ classes at their local church. Grace passionately follows current events, eagerly tries (but often fails) to keep up with and learn from her children’s superior computer skills, and most surely delights in anything chocolate and in the joy of hearing her grandchildren say, “Hi, Grandma!”
Grace’s (much younger) sister Faith White is also a native of Illinois. After teaching in Christian schools in Kansas City and the Detroit area for 34 years, she recently retired, along with her husband who taught for 40 years. They love ministering together, whether mentoring young couples in their church or leading one-on-one Bible studies with international students associated with Wayne State University. Faith enjoys helping lead the Women of the Word Bible studies at their church. Faith and Randy have two married children and six grandchildren (Feel free to ask to see pictures). Faith surely delights in donuts. She also loves photography, reading, and all things homemaking.

See the information below for a couple of hotels that we believe would be both safe and comfortable for those coming to the retreat. Both options provide breakfast and are giving us a discount. They both have a cut off date to receive the discount. Please feel free to book at other hotels in the Rockford area, but we strongly discourage you from staying at any motel in Belvidere.
